Welcome to Writers, Agents and Editors Network

Hello everyone, we’re so happy so see you all here! We here at WAENet are excited about growing and developing this site, and transforming it into the premier place on the web for Writers, Agents, and Editors to meet and discuss our shared passion for books, literature, and publishing.

We really want WAENet to become a unique social space that specifically caters to the needs of the writing community. So to that end: Tell us more about yourself! Are you writing a book? Have you published? Did you go through a traditional publisher, or did you self-publish? What challenges do you face as a writer, agent, or editor? What groups have you joined on WAENet? And how would you like to see the website further develop?

The more information we have from you, the better we can make this a community for you! So please first make sure you have a profile photo so we can see you. A disguise is fine if you are so inclined. Then please post your additional  information and answers in your profile text box, and the WAENet team will use that guidance as we move forward in this new era of publishing. All of us here are so excited and honored to have this opportunity to create and nurture this one-of-a-kind social community. We look forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Deborah Herman

And the WAENet Team

Please now join us at Google +. We are connecting with other great writing communities there.

We will be bringing you recommendations for programs, books and webinars to assist you in your goals. Let us know the information you need.

The first recommendation we have is for those of you who have indie published books, are thinking of self publishing or who have traditionally published books that are not meeting your sales expectations. We highly recommend Joel Friedlander's book launch toolkit. We want you to be successful and this kit helps keep you organized. We are an affiliate so a percentage of your price does return to WAENet. But we don't charge you for anything so don't judge us!!! We promise to only recommend things we really believe in that we believe are reasonably priced.

We love Joel Friedlander's toolkits because they are really simple to use. Let us know what you think. We want to know if you agree that it is a great value for the price.  http://bit.ly/1JYNcBb

Integrity

Another set of student essays. This time, on Integrity: Stella –I think integrity is practicing you hardest and doing the moves the correct way. It is about not fighting with or being mean to my brother even if mommy and daddy are not watching. It is also about doing what the teacher says, like standing quietly in line when the teacher is helping someone else.Helping others when you say you are going to help is also a way to show integrity.I think mostly, it is trying your best, working hard,…See More

Chapters - XI

“The roads were uneven and bumpy, so we could not read the local guide book during the bus ride to the resort. Because of this, we were unaware of many things that would have made our holiday more fun.”Okay, I just don't know what to say about this.Anyway, I wanted to relate this to how reading has always been one of my enjoyments. I think one of the best jobs I could have would be one where I did nothing but read books. Maybe for review (which I do for free nowadays) or just get paid to enjoy…See More

Friendship

"True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost."- Charles Caleb ColtonI often think of the friends I've made throughout the years. Those in high school, some of whom I see either annually or every five years. Those in college, most of those I've never seen since graduation. Those in the workplace, through my association in the American Taekwondo Association, through my writers' group meetings. I could never name all of them but I'd like to highlight a…See More
