Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion DOES HELL EXIST? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"According to a lot of the near-death experience literature, some people do end up in hellish places. However, unlike much of what religious rhetoric suggests, this is neither judgment/punishment nor eternal. Many famous NDErs (such as Howard Storm)…"

Joshua Bagby replied to Jill Celeste's discussion CULTIVATING DIRECT EXPERIENCE: How do we do it for ourselves? and How can we help others? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"Back i the late 80s I began to experience a phenomenon I called ecstatic hugging. Through extended hugging, I would be infused with blasts of energy that were always blissful and sometimes led to blasts of energy that I called ecstasy. Back then I…"

Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion CAN THE WORLD BE A PERFECT PLACE? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"Yes, my interest is in changing the paradigm of what the news is composed of; what stories qualify as "news" and what are routinely ignored (such as near-death experience accounts). Most news shows seem to answer the question…"

Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion CAN THE WORLD BE A PERFECT PLACE? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"Yes, the news is a commodity and it feels as if it is losing ground in credibility, especially in light of social media. Much more than ever I hear people dialing out of the product. Facebook, Twitter, and the rest of the web are changing things.…"

Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion CAN THE WORLD BE A PERFECT PLACE? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"Jill, I wonder if how we the people obtain our news is actually part of the earth school curriculum ... or could we change the paradigm of the news to be more harmonious with the spirit of your post? In other words, could there be such a thing as a…"

Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion CAN THE WORLD BE A PERFECT PLACE? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"Sharon, my exposure to near-death experiences has yielded a similar conclusion. We're here on this planet to learn about love, and part of the learning process is dealing with negativity. There will always be a hefty supply of tests to help us…"

Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion CAN THE WORLD BE A PERFECT PLACE? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"The whole law of attraction movement is built on the premise that we get what we think, and therefore we should think only in terms of what we want. I have noticed in much of the media that the focus is on what's wrong. To live a lifestyle…"

Joshua Bagby replied to Jill Celeste's discussion IS TRAGEDY THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE HEARTS OF HUMANITY? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing

Joshua Bagby replied to Jill Celeste's discussion IS TRAGEDY THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE HEARTS OF HUMANITY? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"Some of the people who have near-death experiences (NDEs) encounter off-the-charts ecstasy. When they come back to this life, they have an incredibly difficult time relating to anyone because unless other people have also experienced the light, as…"

Joshua Bagby replied to Jill Celeste's discussion IS TRAGEDY THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE HEARTS OF HUMANITY? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
"My frustration with the media over the years has been that we highlight the tragic and ignore the ecstatic. Really, if you wanted to learn all about the experience of natural, no-drugs-required ecstasy, where would you go? When people personally…"

Joshua Bagby replied to jeff herman's discussion WHY DOES THE UNIVERSE TOLERATE EVIL? in the group Spiritual Writing and Publishing
