What do you do?
Writer, Freelance Editor, Publisher
What school did you attend?
University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee
What is your hometown?
Currently Pearblossom (in North Los Angeles Country)
What are some of your interests?
Music, Writing, Reading, Animals, Outdoors

What do you write? Non-fiction books and over 100 articles, annually

What subjects do you write about? Caregivers for people with dementia, Alzheimer's, dementia, decluttering, reducing the STUFF in our lives.

Are you represented? If so, by whom? SELF

Have you been published? Yes

If published, please tell us about it. Published by another house in 1991? and then through own publishing company, North Star Books since 1992, except for articles I write for others--U.S. News & World Report, and other websites.

RESULTS: Two books went international with translations into German, Spanish, Slovenian, and Korean, plus an unabridged audio library-edition.

What are you working on now? A book for caregivers on dealing with parents reducing a lifetime of memories into something manageable and less stressful.

Are you currently shopping a project for publication? No

What are you currently seeking? Collaborative publishing projects and Marketing/PR.

Tell us about some of your favorite books, television shows or movies? Biographies give me insight into how people's lives unfolded. Many serve as inspiration. Gave up Television in Feb 2015.

Movies--romantic comedies are my favs.

What are your thoughts about publishing?  Although authors lose control when being published by larger "house," they gain marketing reach and distribution channels. A small proven publisher can work hand-in-hand with an author to accomplish the same without too much loss of control. First-time authors need to experience self-publishing before appreciating what is really involved with getting a book to market.

Can we quote you? Give us your favorite quote or saying. You can make it up or share one from someone you admire. We need more time to reflect. We're zipping by at the speed of virtual (Facebook) LIKES with little time to go deep, while REAL LIFE is passing us by.
